...to stop blogging, apparently. Sorry about that. So in lieu of meaty intellectual content, have a pair of pictures. They're worth a thousand words--apiece!--or so I have been led to believe. And while I recognize that two thousand words is nowhere near my usual rambling verbosity (can you believe spell-check lets me get away with that one?)... well, it's going to have to do. d^_~b

We hosted Thanksgiving. Aprilynne and I brined and buttered and browning-bagged a 23-pound turkey and dropped some 16 pounds of ham into crockpots, baked some two-dozen rolls, and microwaved some corn and peas. She also rolled out crusts and beat or baked a total of 16 pies. People brought things... salads, yams, rolls, et cetera. In all, 48 people were fed at my house. Most of them fit in our greatroom, where we assembled our kitchen table, three six-foot folding tables, and a card table.
It was glorious.

Anyhow, post-Thanksgiving launched us immediately into Christmas mode, so my blogging-break was extended by shopping and planning and trimming our new ten foot tree. I've been enjoying myself thoroughly.
Which is not to say I haven't thought about coming over here and complaining about the latest and greatest in global shenanigans. But what can I say? I've been busy. Hope you have, too! Starting after Christmas, I'll be doing bar review full time. So who knows when I might post next? Valentine's Day, maybe? Well, hopefully sooner than that. I guess we'll see.
Merry Christmas, everyone.
